Crystal Crowns

I'd been assisting an acquaintance with scene set up for mermaids during a new Fandom festival in our hometown. This year I decided I needed to vendor as an opportunity had presented itself. And, so, I went to work.
Headpieces and crowns of all kinds were on my agenda. A chance to share my handmade art while also sharing my photography with the crowds.
Crystals are first pinned to hold in place and adhered with a touch of glue to ensure hold. Allowing time for the glue to dry before wrapping the stones with wire or roping depending on the look I was going for. These tiara style crowns were then further decorated with embellishments to create unique looks.
We also created some with multiple layers, some with mushrooms and even more with florals of all kinds. Today, as I type this, I'm working on creating an Elven style circlet.
Headpieces will be something I will be adding to the shop in the upcoming months. And as I prepare for another vendor opportunity more and more styles will be created. No two will be exactly alike. And much like my upcycling of costumes we'll be recycling forgotten jewelry into headpieces, as well.
