A pair of curtains and a tablecloth ... tada it's a period costume (kinda)!

I found a pair of Pier 1 curtains, metallic teal with golden accents at a local thrift store that I just had to have. Something about the design really spoke to me, I can't explain it exactly, but the fabric screamed French Victorian, Marie Antoinette, ruler vibes. A single pair of curtains? I did have to stop and ask myself what I was thinking a couple of times. Combined with a large, buttery yellow tablecloth for an underskirt and a few purchased notions, this simple pair of curtains came together to create this lovely look modeled by Scarlet Fever.

Is it period correct, no. Was I trying to be period correct, also no. I wish there had been a 2nd or even 3rd pair of these curtain panels to allow for a more accurate look, however a single pair was all that was available. Total cost of fabric and extra notions was under $35.
